Dedication
I want to dedicate my child
A baby dedication is a ceremony in which believing parents, and sometimes their entire family, make a commitment before the Lord to raise that child according to God's Word and God's ways as stated in the Bible. Many times the parents are not believers, but would like to believe that if they dedicate their baby to the Lord, that He would watch over, protect, and keep that child for the rest of their life. Dedicating a baby to the Lord is a good thing, however, greater emphasis and responsibility should be placed on the parents/guardian, or persons that will be responsible for raising that child as he or she grows. This emphasis should be based on Godly principles, as stated in the Bible so that God who always keep His promise will guide that child in the way He or She should go as long as the child obey His precepts, and principles as stated in the bible.
